The accessibility service is necessary to detect and count reels, shorts, and similar content viewed. This allows the application to recognize specific patterns in the interface of social media applications and determine when you are viewing this type of content.
Important: Our accessibility service does not record, store, or transmit the content you view. It only identifies and counts the types of content to provide you with accurate statistics.
On Android, this permission is sometimes labeled Display over other apps, Appear on top, or similar, depending on your device manufacturer.
ReelCounter uses it only to show an optional, small on-screen counter (a “floating” indicator) while you use supported apps—such as Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok—so you can see your current daily count without opening ReelCounter.
This permission allows the app to draw that counter above other apps’ windows. It is not used to read other apps’ screens, capture screenshots, record your activity, or serve advertising. If you disable this permission, the floating counter will not be shown; core counting in the background still depends on accessibility, as described above.

We do not share any information with third parties. Because all data remains on your device and is not transmitted to external servers, there is no possibility of sharing your data.
The security of your data is ensured through local storage on the device. Because the information does not leave the device, the risks associated with data transmission are eliminated.
Our app is suitable for general audiences and does not specifically target children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may periodically update this privacy policy. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice or an in-app notification.
